AUBIE - LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY AND ADOPTION

AUBIE STORY - LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY

When rescued, there wasn't much hope for puppy Aubie to live. He had been attacked by a dog he was with. His head was swollen to three times it's normal size. At first no one was sure if he still had his eyeballs. But the poor pup seemed to follow the veterinarian staff's hand. He was covered in maggots, flies, and red biting ants. He had to have surgery to get an eyelid removed and of course many types of medicines and skilled veterinarian care. We got a call from a women who had loved her 13 year old boxer named Bella who had recently died. When Bella was only a year and a half old, she had to have her eye removed due to early age glaucoma. Petmom and her little boy noticed Aubie's picture that he had something wrong with his eye. When they heard the story, the wanted to adopt and love him all the more. He is so loved there and we hear from them all the time with updated pictures. Look for him on our website animalsanctuarysociety .org under happy tails or our facebook page for his pictures with his new family. We help animals that we are their last resort for safety and to get a wonderful loving life. Another story is about Dear sweet Nola. We got an email from another rescue organization that Nola was in a shelter that has to euthanize for space. She had a crooked bent front foot, ankle and leg and a deformed ear. It was urgent to arrange to get her pulled out of the shelter. She is now happily loved and adopted to a great home. Also, see her pictures of our facebook page and website animalsanctuarysociety.org under happy tails.
Thank you all for caring!! When we get support from people like yourself, it means all the difference in the world to the animals we are able to help because of the support.
