Hello, my name is Chaunta, a volunteer for Dogworks. Thank you for visiting us. We are a proud Toledo Ohio based dog rescue that has been saving dogs for 20 years. When you rescue a dog you never know what problems they may have until about a week after you have them in a foster home. Most of them are fine but others come to us with some very serious, painful, and life-threatening problems. We charge a modest fee for our dog’s adoption which normally covers our cost of feeding, medications, testing, neutering, and bringing them up to date on all of their vaccines. Some of the dogs however have more expensive medical cost and we believe that a true rescue does not euthanize an animal because they have expensive health care needs.
