Good Neighbor House: Empowering Healthier Communities
Michelle Collier, Good Neighbor House Chief Operating Officer, sits in her office speaking to the camera. The wall behind her is beige. To the left of her sits a "snake plant", and above her is part of a painting of blue flowers with orange centers, brown stems, and a gray and beige geometric background.
"Hello, my name is Michelle Collier. I'm the Chief Operating Officer here at Good Neighbor House. We're located in Downtown Dayton. We're a local, 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to empower healthier communities by fostering the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our neighbors. We do this by offering health and human services, including: medical, eye, dental, dietary clinics, food pantry, and counseling services. Most of our clients are without insurance, are food insecure, they're working, and barely making ends meet. When a local charitable pharmacy closed their doors in May, we had nowhere to send our patients. Thanks to donors and supporters, we opened a non-narcotic pharmaceutical dispensary. Be a part of this amazing mission; please, join us in empowering healthier communities."
