Help Heroes Heal

Hi, my name is Michele Bolinger, Founder and Director of Forever Amber Acres Animal Sanctuary. 7 rescues horses , part of our therapy program, call our sanctuary “home.” Since 2017 through the generosity and support of the Combined Federal Campaign, we have been able to help 17 military veterans with mental health services through our (V.E.T.S.) Veteran Equine Therapy Services Program. Please take a moment to hear some of the success stories from local veterans that have gone through our program. “Hi, my name is Peggy, a Navy veteran here at Forever Amber Acres. The animals behind me are equine therapists. What they do for our veterans is so important. They’re able to help veterans work through their PTSD as well as any other emotional wellness issues they may have.”
