"Mujeres del Sol" (Women of the Sun) - extract

After 14 years of experience in solar cooking and leading workshops in the Oaxaca state communities, we started a new pilot project to introduce a new prototype. It is the Haines solar cooker. This project has been financed by a US organization by the name of Solar Household Energy, and the goal of the project is to introduce this prototype to have the indigenous communities learn about solar cooking in neighborhoods, in the suburbs of Oaxaca….

At this time we are collaborating with the solar cooker project. It is a very very nice project, especially because it is helping our community very much. I am the one who has been promoting the cookers, and day after day there are people who become interested in it. And also it is very practical by saving time.
