Dear Campaign Leaders:
Thank you for stepping up to Show Some Love in the 2020 Combined Federal Campaign. Your efforts and creativity are resonating with our federal colleagues. Because of you, we have made great strides toward meeting our goal, but we have a ways to go. This year, more than ever, coming together through the CFC is vital to assist our communities, nation, and world. Giving Tuesday, December 1, is right around the corner. This day is critical to our efforts because it is one of the most significant days for charitable giving in the year. Your active engagement is needed to draw attention to Giving Tuesday.
To be successful, I need your help with three things:
- First, please make sure your agency campaign teams are ready. Giving Tuesday provides Keyworkers an opportunity to remind their colleagues to give and to thank them if they have given. Make sure they have what they need to host a virtual event, share stories, and commemorate the day.
- Second, make sure your agency leadership is aware of Giving Tuesday and your agency progress toward its CFC goal. Agency CFC Vice Chairpersons should have robust, timely communications about CFC with senior leadership and encourage the leaders and agency employees to come together to mark Giving Tuesday in a special way.
- Third, send an all-employee message encouraging participation in the Lemon Face Challenge. In keeping with our theme, Be the Face of Change, we are asking federal employees to bite a lemon, make a face, pledge, and post a photo or video. We hope the challenge will add some fun and engage our colleagues.
Download the Giving Tuesday Toolkit at cfcnca.givecfc.org for excellent resources, ideas, templates, and graphics to jump start your planning. Let’s make this year’s Giving Tuesday our most successful ever! On a personal level, I challenge YOU to participate in the Lemon Face Challenge with me on Giving Tuesday!
Thank you for your continued support of the CFC. I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving!
